coolant sensor bad, replace rear lamp
I have a 98 Grand Jeep Cheerokee Limited 5.2. I am getting a "coolant sensor bad, and replace rear lamp" messages. I have changed all the rear lamps. I have also replaced the coolant sensor in the coolant tank last year. What do I need to do? Thanks!

the coolent one (the only one i have found so far .. only spent 2 minutes looking) was in the reserve tank. was dirty so i cleaned it..
havent had a problem since.
just gotta fix the speedometer

Hi Shawn
Thanks for your response. I will look in the reserve tank again, and see if the connection is tight around seal. I will also look at the rear side light housing. You are probably right. I ask my kids, are my back lights out, and they always say no! I thought first that it was some major wiring glitch. Putting an alternator in next week.I figure, that should give every part enough power, to either break down, or either break off! Thanks!
By the way. There is another coolant sensor on the side of the block. Some kind of plug. I'm getting that one changed as well. This one has something to do with gas mileage efficiency. I'm paying $79 to get it installed. The peice is important. If your sensor was fixed with just the reserve tank, you are lucky. But, if sensor 2 on drivers side blows, don't let nobody tell you that they have to take the engine out to get it!
