Default COOLANT LEVEL SENSOR *HELP* please?

Hi, I have a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.2 V8. I have a "coolant sensor bad" display on my onboard computer. I know this is from the coolant level sensor. On my coolant reservoir where the sensor is located I have two wires (1 gray w/ black stripe...1 black) that aren't connected to anything......I cant find any plugs, any cut wires from any of the harnesses or any indication where these wires would connect or lead into the on board computer display....any suggestions?

That's on pretty much every GC.... check to make sure coolant is OK..then ignore.

Surprised you don't also have lamp failure and 4WD Switch....

The problem is the solder joints on the VIC. Cheap fix but time consuming. There are many write ups. Many Jeeps have this problem.

I think this warning has to do with the coolant temp sensor, not the coolant level sensor. That will give you a "coolant low" warning.

oops.

it is the temp sensor as you said. The level sensor says "coolant level sensor bad" IIRC. I had that one in the 94 for a few minutes yesterday. The coolant was a cup or two low in the reservoir.
