My front end suspension on my passenger side there's a knock/clunk noise when go over bumps. I went under there and moved everything around to see if anything was loose but couldn't seem to figure it out, any help guys would be great thanks

sounds like what a ball joint does when going bad. If it was any other dodge product that would be my first guess.

Mine started doing this and I don't think it's the shocks since they are new..I am leaning towards ball joints, ujoints ...Which I need to replace and will once I have the cash saved for unit bearing hub assemblies..

i went up a carb forward and no knock came backwoods of the carb and when front wheel hits ground a knock

Mine is a 94 Laredo and it does the same thing. Its only on the passenger side though. And its pretty noticeable.

how can i check which part has worn is there a easy way of checking

put it up on jack stands and start wiggling things. You can also have someone sit in it while on stands and have them move teh steering wheel and look for play. Everything shold move smoothly nad immediately. If the sterring is moved andthere is a pause before the wheels move then you might have a loose trackbar or bad TREs (tie rod end). Rock the tires back and forth. If there is play from top to bottom it is usually a bad ball joint or possibly wheel bearing, play from front to back is a usually a TRE. Visually inspect all of teh control arm ends for good rubber in teh mounts. CHeck the trackbar bolts and the sway arm bushings and end links.

To check ball joints lift the front end so the wheel will hang. then with a large crow bar lift the wheel and let it go. Of course you will need someone to do this while someone else watches. If you see movement in the ball joint up and down you will know.

have same problem on my 93 GCL. Only when I pull into parking lot or leave light. Only, it seems, on R hand turns as the body rolls any amount to the left. Have installed new: trackber, sway bar bushings and links, one new lower L ball joint. My mechanic, who is a friend of mine, says everything else is tight as a fiddle string. Can't seem to find anything when we put it over pit. Any ideas?
Anyway, yours sounds like the sway bar bushings. For mine the bushings were 20 bucks and I changed them myself. Be careful not to break off the bolts as they sometimes seize.
By the way, my Grand Cherokee has 408,000 km on it and still doesn't burn any oil between changes. Anybody have one running with more mileage? I would like to find the highest mileage one still running.

Here's one still running 96 Grand Cherokee 4.0L auto, 2wd with 325,000 miles on the odo........

275,000 5.2 still has plenty of power...having same issue as above all new control arm bushings all 8 new end link bushings just havent changed swaybay bushings

Check the sway bar bushings real well. Mine was clunking and it turned out that one of the bushings where the bar bolts to the frame wasn't seated properly. Seated it properly and the clunk is gone.
