Default A C motor

I have a 2002 Cherokee that has twice melted the solenoid along with the plug. An inspection of the solenoid indicates that the solenoid is not the fault, but something stream. Other than the motor, what else should I look at?

Exactly! What AC motor are you talking about, the blower fan? Are you talking about the resistor? Be a little more specific.

You know, I like many others come to this web site to gather information that will be helpful to them. I, like most all of those others do not ask questions to be insulted. Our hope is that our questions are answered by knowledgeable people who know more than we do, and not by wise a--es who have no more knowledge, and nothing better to do than act like jacka--es.With that said, will the moderator please remove my name from the members list.

Maybe some more detailed information would get you better results. Nobody insulted you.

If you believe that nobody insulted me, then we looked at 2 entirely different responses. Secondly, my question was purposely vague hoping to get a response from someone who knew what I was talking about. Obviously, that has not yet happened.
If you and others look at my title, you will note that it say A C motor, not ac motor. My owners manual, my Chiltons, and my Motors manuals, all use that designation to indicate the air conditioning system. To the best of my knowledge, that system has only 1 electric motor, and that is the fan motor. That motor is controlled by the resistor, a rather elaborate unit. There are vacuum motors that open and close doors. but those do not have a resistor, and do not over heat and melt plastic parts.
I do apologize for the improper use of the term solenoid, and not resistor in my original question.

MY intent was not to insult you, just gain more information about what you were asking. If THAT insulted you, so be it. You've got an awful thin skin. I won't waste any more time on you either.
