Hello!
Sorry for maybe for a noob question, but how and where to install brake caliper anti-rattle clips in 96 Grand Cherokee? Never replaced them before... They rattle loud and friend recommended me to change them first. Pics are welcome |

Raise the jeep on jackstands, remove wheels, unbolt the two bolts that hold the brake caliper on the caliper mount (those two long bolts that are sinked in the rubber caps behind the caliper), remove caliper and pads, the anti-rattle clips fall right off, replace them in the exact position the old were, put everything back together.

thanks for reply! I tried it this before, problem is that there is no clips, i guess service man forgot about them when last time pad were changed (i know that its better to change pads yourself but they had some kind bonus share and they changed them for free, hard to resist) So, I understand that clips should look like this one (http://www.streetbeatcustoms.com/pro...4502410576.jpg) and it must be installed on "shoe tabs"? - http://img5.imageshack.us/img5/3175/...0122458001.png
Is this correct? Last edited by V.R; 11-10-2009 at 04:33 AM.. |

Ah, ok.
You want to know how they go. They go on the upper part of the caliper mount, with the open ends that are in the middle pointing towards the front of the jeep and the edges pushing on the pads like a spring.
