Default 99 Cherokee Sport Fuel Issue

I have checked all my lines running from the tank to the fuel rail, all the Evap lines and cannot find the source of the fuel smell. It only appears when cranking, when the fan turned on, and usually comes from the engine bay area. I have noticed my gas mileage seems to progressively suck. I searched the forum for previous postings and followed the advice there before making another redundant thread about it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance,

Just an update, I've located my issue. It's coming from the fuel rail where it connects to the #2 injector. Should be an easy fix.

Welcome to CF! BTW, you've posted your Cherokee in the Grand Cherokee section. Not a big deal this time.

Pull the fuel rail and replace ALL the o-rings. If you've got one leaking, the rest won't be far behind. Be sure to lube them with a little engine oil, they'll slip in a lot better. Put all the injectors in the rail and then slip it into the manifold.

I replaced all the o rings, figured preventative maintenance was better than pulling the fuel rail 5 more times, lol

Thanks for the welcome... I'm on a lot of car forums, normally I make sure I was in the right area... but this engine differs a little from my ls2, and had me a little flustered.
