Default 4.0 lift bracket?

Dear All,

I am new to the forum and new to a 2001 Grand Cherokee with a bad motor. I have the Haynes Manual for this model and for engine removal it says to attach a chain or sling to the "engine lift brackets". I looked all over and can't seem to see any engine lift brackets. i need your advice on lift points as I am planning to pull the engine and 2WD trans as a unit.

Thanks a ton,

PapaJohn

usually there are threaded holes on the heads to place them. or you can just run some bolts with a big washer on them and run it thru a link in the chain and screw the bolt in. same concept

Default Thanks a lot

Thank you for quick answer. I am not new to engine replacement, but the whole Jeep thing is starting to infect me. I will use the bolt and washer technique.

Thanks again,

PapaJohn
