35" tires, 4"lift?
I'm looking for some input regarding installing 35 " tires with a 4" lift. Has anyone done this and any issues with the modifications?
I have already cut the front fenders and will probably need to cut them more. I have 4.56 gears and a d44a rear axel with an Aussie auto locker and a d 30 front with chromally axels and an Eaton E- locker. I did the front drive shaft conversion to u-joint.
I have 33"tires on it now and they work great only a slight rub in the front. The rear is my main concern with cutting the fender well. I have a ton invested in the IRO short arm lift with full belly protection and don't want to spend a ton more converting to a 6" lift. Hoping to gain axle clearance with out more lift.
Front fenders were cut after these pics. No pics of cut fender wells yet.

Honestly, you're not gaining much more axle clearance throwing 35's under your rig. Seems like a lot of work for minimal gain. I'd stick with your 33's.

Every inch counts! 35's would fill the holes better, looking to do some 3.5 trails and have run into clearance issues.

Going from 33s to 35s will only gain you 1" more ground clearance.

Thanks, I know I'll have to trim the rear fender wells and with fully adjustable upper and lower CA's might have to adjust the rear axel position. I have seen other WJ's with 35's on a 4" lift. I was checking on some input on what they may have encountered with all the modifications. I know 1" doesn't seem like much but in a given off road obstacle I have seen a huge difference if running 35's.

with those axels I would think you could go to 37's? or is there a clearance issue going that big?
I have 33's on mine but have stock axles and was told not to go any bigger or I will have problems.

37's no way without a 6" lift and even then would need to do some serious fender well trimming, axel trusses and a bunch of other stuff.

Here's an idea. Take a look at the posted lifted WJs and PM the guy who's already got your set-up to see what HE recommends. Most of us love to share!
