30X9.5s on a ZJ
What do I have to do to fit 30s and not cut corners? Will I have to replace my front track bar or can I use brackets front and rear with a 2" spacer lift? Should I get adjustable upper control arms?
I REALLY want to do the F-R swap 3.5" Adjustable track bar, shocks, solid lower arms front and rear, etc.....but I am on a very tight budget right now. So, I'm going to settle for 30s and a budget lift. Another major question is what is going to happen to the position of the tires in the wheel wells? The front already looks like it's too far to the back of the well. A larger tire is going to make that even worse I think. Am I correct? I am going to assume that four new shocks are going to be needed too, can I buy a set that will be a compromise for the 2" lift when I get the funds for the 3.5" lift? Backspacing is my other question. I think the stock wheels are 5.25"? In PA the tire cannot stick out at all. so, can I get away with 4.75 or 5" backspacing? Which is best for 30s and which is best for 31X10.5s? Can I find a happy medium when choosing wheels?
I have to keep it as cheap as possible for now. Winter is coming and I want new tires, I might as well do the budget lift and get at least 30s on it for now, but those stock wheels have to go. I am tired of looking at them.
Thank you guys.
