249 242 swap

249 242 swap
I Just bought my first jeep the other day. It is a 1993 jeep grand cherokee limited 5.2L in great condition. The only problem it has is the bad vicious coupler. I want to do a 242 swap. I have read many write ups and each one says different things. What year 242 should I select? I am aware that the input shaft may have to be swapped. Also i hear that there was an annulus gear change around 1994. Does that rule out any tcase after 1994? Also swill my drive shafts work with the swap? Any help is greatly appreciated. Help me get this jeep back on the road!!!!
