Default Help!

I have an 04 grand cherokee 4.0 quadratrac awd. I've had noise in the front end since i bought it. Replaced bearings and cv shafts, still happening. Tonight i gave it some throttle in the grass, only rear wheels were spinning. I have a bad shaking while cruising on the freeway. My guess is front differential. But how much will parts cost? Or can i swap a front diff from a 99 dodge durango 4x4?

Can you put it on a lift so all 4 wheels would spin (if they could)? The defective rotating part(s) may be more affordable than you think. Guessing is expensive.

The freeway shake sounds like DW, which is an entirely separate matter.

I don't know anyone with a lift. I'll ask around. But thanks I'll try that. Sounds like DW?

Death Wobble: Most often felt through the steering and can at-times result in loss of control. Sometimes triggered by bumps in the road. Usually strongest at specific speed and diminishes at speeds below or above that point. Attributable to any one or several front-end components and/or tires, wheel balancing and/or front-end alignment...
