1997 Jeep GC Laredo Trans question
First off I hope i am in the correct area for this question.
A few days ago some plastic fitting broke on a trans line and it lost about 4.5 quarts of fluid before the jeep was stopped and checked and we found the problem and had it fixed. The trans had no problems prior to this but now thye trans will shift fine for a while and every now and then it does not want to go into 2nd gear without liufting your foot off the throttle.I notice if you are in traffic sitting still for 10 or 15 minutes and then go it will shift perfect, if i am on thye hwy for an hour and get off the hwy it may shift into 2nd without lifting off of throttle or it may not..
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Two possibilities I see:
It didn't get refilled completely after the leak and simply needs more fluid.
It suffered damage when operating with low fluid. You can either try to find a used one, or have your's removed and rebuilt. A used one would be cheaper I think.
