I've got an AW4 leftover from my 92 cherokee that I'm looking to help a friend put it in her zj, since her 42re is **** like the rest of em and the aw4 will last much longer then another 42re, I know with the obd1 zj it's pretty straight forward, but I want to make Sure we get everything we need right off the bat,

the transmission
And a tcm from a cherokee with aw4
And that there's a little bit of simple splicing ect.
going to need new lines and another cooler.
I still have my cross member and trans mount, do we need the xj cross member or just the mount?

Also going to get a trans filter and gasket, maybe a shift kit, front and rear seals, maybe the rear main,


My question is am I missing anything? I haven't seen anything regarding drive lines and I'm curious if we need new ones or if the 42re/aw4 are the same length?

If anyone has done the swap on an OBD1 zj and has a list of parts that would be awesome.

Please let me know what you come up with. i have a 98 gc with the 42re and i can't even find a single one to replace it.... and from everything's i had read i was under the impression you bee nnex er coming homee..
