07 WK Heater Core Replacement Instructions?
Greetings all,
I think I have the dreaded heater core leak. Wife's WK has the sweet smell coming from the vents, fogging on the windshield, disappearing coolant, sticky carpet especially on the passenger side, puddle of coolant coming from the passenger side between the front and back seat from what looks like a subframe rail or hole in the unibody.
Anyone have written out directions, scanned parts of the FSM, hints, or a link to a good youtube video of getting to the heater core. I know it requires removal of pretty much the whole dashboard. I have watched a few videos online especially one that a guy trimmed a bit of the panelling and avoided taking off the whole dashboard. I have sectioned off most of Memorial Weekend for the project. My 3 year old and 5 year old are excited to help.
She has the Non Hemi V8 4.7 I believe it if it makes any difference

Got the heater core swapped out. Right now working on burping the coolant system. Been burping for about 10 minutes now still no heat yet.
Thermostat just opened up poured almost a another gallon into the system.
Going to let it run for a bit more see if any more bubbles come up.

When the wife came home for work today and shut off the jeep coolant started pouring out of the rad cap. Passenger side rug is drenched in coolant. Hoping that it is just that the replacement heater core was bad and something else is not wrong.
