Yeah you're gonna need to address some things with the drivetrain. What transfer case are you currently running or are planning to run?

What selections does it have? If you have the 249 transfer case like I do, which has 4hi,Neutral,4low then your going to need to swap a 231 transfer case out of a cherokee and put a sye kit on and get new driveshafts. Otherwise you'll have quite a few problems

The NP231 has 2High,4High,Neutral,4Low. Its a much stronger transfer case than the NP249, and swapping to it also gives you a rear wheel drive option which the 249 does not. There really is no choice for doing a sye on a 249. Best thing to do is get a 231 out of a cherokee from a junkyard that is the same year as your zj. Mall crawlin has a really good thread for the 231 swap that explains everything

I looked into my transfer case some more and found out that it is a np231. But it only came with part time 4x4. I'm probley just going to get a custom driveline and sye kit for it because my jeep is more of a weekend warrior then an actual trail rig. This will work right?
