01 wj oil pump

01 wj oil pump
When jeep is warming up first thing in the morning ,i'll drive it,oil press gauge goes to zero(check gauge's light come's on)then the needle go's back up as the rpm rise's,this happen's until the jeep is very well warmed up,every cold morning.Is my oil pump failing?please help.Justin from Canada

As with any repair, first you have to diagnose. Go from simplest to hardest, always! With that said, check/replace your oil pressure sensor first.

Cold engines/oil tend to cause higher pressures than normal operating temps. I would take the advise like mentioned above and first replace the oil pressure sending unit.
