01 WJ fuel tank skid plate

Default 01 WJ fuel tank skid plate

I need one for my moms jeep as hers it rotted completely thru and the tank is about to fall out. Why can I not find one anywhere??? All im finding is the skid with a new tank and i dont need the tank.

Okay, I found the Mopar part at jeep4x4center.com but I doubt you want it. It lists for $495.99 with a $49.99 shipping surcharge. It's Part Number 52100376AG. If it's the one I think it is, it's 1/8" steel and powder coated. There are support straps under it, you know.

I just checked with wjjeeps.com and that one is MSRP $542 and is 1/8" thick. There were 3 "brushguard" skids that have been discontinued that were $190 and only 0.040" thick.

What do you mean the tank is about to fall out. Does the WJ fuel tank rely on the skid to mount to the frame???

When I looked up the parts for him, I noticed there are straps for the tank as well. It's possible the tank was dropped before and the straps broke and it was just put back in using the skid. Who knows?

Damn that's crazy lol. I would have hoped the straps are independent from the skid

I believe they are. That's the whole point! It's entirely possible his was put back in without them.
