Will's 1 ton Cherocar
Alright so I've been here for a while and decided to start my build thread... work in progress of course. My names Will, i stay in West GA and Im 18. My parents bought my Jeep in July of 1994, 2 weeks after I was born and the manufacture date on the Jeep is in June of 94, so it's all pretty close lol. My mom drove it to Atlanta everyday for years, then when we moved across town it sat for about 6 years or so because it had a hole in the radiator and overheated. The thing was gross when i started fixing her up again... Started working on her when i was 14 and began her transformation
Here is about the most stock picture i have (2009) in digital format:
Pretty sure the first thing i did was stickers and a CB haha... this is from an ice storm we had and shows my antenna, window vents, and i had cupholders then
Then came lights and sound system crap
Blah blah blah a bunch of bland stuff till i got to my lift and all but i'll let this be the first post lol

Got in 2 fender benders
Back up alarm off of a church van from a junk yard lol (highly recommend)
More stickers
3 inch new RC lift from CL for $180 (Coils, shocks, new stock leaf packs with AAL)
Homemade brake line extensions
Disco's
30" mud tires for $260 off of CL
Buy 3 get 1 free 15x8 Pro Comp D-Window wheels
Cupholders
Vent visors
Aftermarket fixed LCA's

Ok lift post... Did this the last week of highschool when i didn't have to go... C/0 2012...
Stock saggy suspension, goodbye!!
Shocks expanded:
I had to pull the stock shock up like that because it wouldn't push itself up lol... only 18 years old, you can see the static ride height of none that it had...
Did the rear first on tuesday:
Finished up the front the next day:
Have since added disco's which are disconnected right now lol and a front hitch. I had to lose these sway bar drop brackets
when i added my front hitch because the mounting system was for a stock sway bar set up... I'll grab some pics of that set up tomorrow hopefully
Homemade brakeline extensions:
same pitch bolt and that gas nipple as a sleeve for it... have stretched em tight and im gonna try to relocate them one more time before i get new lines so i can go higher lol
Finished:
You can see that the track bar hasn't been moved/ dealt with yet (I redrilled)

Update without pics for now... Took front hitch off, trimmed the front fender flush with the headlight, and put in a 195 thermostat today... Also update for the lift progress, i wento to the JY in town and they had just gotten a TJ with wheel adapters from 4.5 to 5 on 5 bolt pattern... bought them for $25 sold them for $200 shipped to Canada. Flipped that cash into Control Arm Drop brackets (CAD's) and then sold something else and got RE 5.5 coils. So im almost $40 into both of those parts!! Going to be running RE 3.5 leaf packs with an Autozone shackle kit. RE shocks and probably an RE adj track bar

Next plan, trade me 5.5 RE coils with Travis for his 3.5's and spacers and use the spacer, paired with RC shackles, some sort of BPE's or shock cheaters and adj track bar... Not gonna go over 4.5 so I don't have to change my control arms. Trying to sell my drop brackets now. Need a YJ rear brake line and do the fronts too

Thats why grinders scare the **** out of me. I'm not afraid to use one, but after a close call with the top of my fingers i've got quite a respect for what they can do to you.. Even more so after seeing this.
