First off welcome to the forum. I see you found the thread for these sets. Unfortunately you found it the same day that he went out of town and can't ship, I did the exact same thing last month. Send him a message and he'll let you know when he's shipping again. It's worth the wait, just be patient.

Finally got the ****** **** **** welded ******* nut out of the ***** hole and ******* notch I had to cut out.
More on the that process later though, for now I'll just leave a few teaser pics
All I've got left is to remove the passenger side control arms and then new parts start going back in. We're getting there!!!

Thanks! It's coming along.
Man it was rough, I don't wish that on any body. I appreciate it, especially coming from a someone who has a Jeep build that I've looked at very closely while building mine. I've read through your's and your PO's build threads several times, I'm hoping to keep mine as nice.
Thank you kindly. It was a tough choice because I know that black is the new chrome. I really wanted to go for that classic offroad look, but put a modern spin on it. We'll see how it turns out.

So back to the seized up front leaf spring bolts... I tried several different ways to try and get the sucker out. The thing that finally did it was me holding a jimmy bar on it while my 300 lb brother beat the other end with a 4 lb sledge. This picture makes the hole look more damaged that what it really is, but it's really not bad at all. The flange has plenty of contact area.
I little bit of rust prevention and I was good to go.
The Bar Pin Eliminators were another challenge. The Zone BPE themselves are a pretty decent product, I just wsth they came with the necessary hardware to mount them to the Jeep. I was able to access the holes pretty easy by using the wire technique to pull them through and get a wrench in there to hold 'em tight. My mistake was listening to some dude on Youtube that said to use 1 1/2" long bolts from the hardware store. That may have worked on the BPE that mount the shock at a 90* orientation, but the Zones keep the factory orientation and the bolt the mount the shock would not clear the BPE bolts. I had to take them out, grind them down and even then I still had some clearance issues that made that install much more difficult than it should have been. Combine that with me inserting a metal bushing sleeve that was too long (the shocks came with 3 and I didn't realize they were different lengths) and I had a heck of a day.
Here's the comparison between the springs.
This evening I'm going to run by Tractor Supply to get some different Zerk fittings for the control arms. I don't know if they sent the wrong ones, but I couldn't get 4 of the 6 on the CAs to thread in. The things came pre-greased, I don't know why RE couldn't have just put those fittings in themselves. But anyway, once I get those in I can get going on installing the front suspension parts.

Went and bought the correct Zerk fittings on my lunch break. They ended up being 6mm, not sure what RE sent me. I bought an 8 pack with straights and 90*s (which I need both) for $7, so now I can proceed with the install.
I ordered my SYE from Summit Racing for $189 shipped. That's $40 cheaper than any other place I could find it. Once I get it installed I will measure and order an Adam's CV Driveshaft. Then it should be drivable at the very least. I'll be glad when I can start enjoying it on (and off) the road instead of enjoying looking at it on jack stands in the garage.

Thanks! There are plenty of builds on here that have helped me put the ideas together. I see you've only have a couple of posts, whats the story with your Jeep?
After grilling a few steaks when I got home yesterday, I put the new Zerk fittings in and got to work. The pack I got ended up having 4 straights, 2 90*s and 2 45*s which allowed me to really get the best angle based on how the arms are to be installed. I love seeing the difference in quality between factory and these after market arms.
I made some good progress last night. Got all of the arms, coils and stops installed. This evening I'll work on the track bar, discos and shocks. Depending on how all of that goes I may have this thing rolling today or tomorrow.

My girlfriend snapped this picture of me "working" on the Jeep last night. I had run in to a couple of issues and had to come to CF to do some research. The cat even wandered in to lend some moral support.

Reading this, it's funny how ignorant I was a month ago. Where did you order yours for $235? And how long did it take for it to arrive once you ordered it?

I called them directly and asked them about the forum discount and also if they would match the eBay seller of $235. They said yes and a week later, I had a shiny new DS. They build them to order.

I forget exactly how much the DS was since I bought it with my SYE, but Tom Woods will build and ship yours the day after your order. They may even do it same day if you order early enough. They're in Utah though if that changes anything. As I hear, both are great choices, so I don't think you can go wrong.
