So my alternator decided to take a dump on my weekend. Gonna upgrade to the grand Cherokee 5.9 alternator and swap in all new wires. The new alternator should be a step in the right direction for accessory lights and audio in the future. I also plan to add a second battery with a battery selector switch. The second battery would be connected to a 2500 watt power inverter for charging/running tools on the trail.

New brakes, 1.5" wheel spacers, tension pulley, A/C compressor, belt and a mechanical oil gauge today. Also threw in some new oil. Even got around to a wash and a wax. The oil gauge cleared up a low pressure situation I thought I had and the new belt got everything humming nice. It was also a good time to fix the ac since the humidity is hovering around 90%, not fun driving in and out of NYC with the windows down.

Today's weekly jeep time is being dedicated to performance. I picked up these Bosch yellow top injectors and some mopar parts to do a neat little tune up. I also wound up having to replace the oil seal on the output shaft of my SYE. The cheap pos that came with the kit was leaking good and hard. Fortunately someone figured out a matching national seal so that worked out well. Tomorrow I'm going to tackle replacing the signal light switch. Good times, good times, some of the best of times.

Blew a nice hole in my muffler and after some research possibly destroyed my CAT. New Flowmaster CAT and Super 44 muffler on there way. Will post some pics this weekend. Hopefully I these repairs restore the power loss I'm experiencing. First time working on exhaust so hope it all goes smooth.
