Took a little longer than expected but it's done. New rough country SYE, new u joints and the front drive shaft out of my 97 XJ. She's driving smooth now.

So I was very happy this morning on my 50 mile ride into work. Not only did the SYE wipe out all the crazy vibrations, but after installing my new throttle body the truck is running mint. I replaced the TPS and cleaned the IAC, then flashed the computer. The truck now shifts smoother, has more power and is already doing better on gas. I had to remove the front driveshaft because it was the source of a bunch of the vibration. Hopefully this weekend I'll get a chance to tweak the LCAs and improve the pinion angle without totally screwing up my camber.

Threw in a 6* shim after the SYE to correct the pinion angle. No more Cherokee/massage chair. Now I just have to address the pinion angle on the front axle so I can put my driveshaft back in.

A little routine maintenance turns into a bunch of wire wheelin, welding and painting. I pulled my diff cover to change the oil and decided I wanted to upgrade the fill hole. I welded a 14mm nut into the existing hole and will plug it with a 14mm bolt with a rubber o-ring and some thread sealant. Mine was a little leaky so hopefully this is a better situation. Also cleaned up the axle and painted it with por15. I had leftover paint from the previous jeep so I decided to clean up the front driveshaft, since it was out anyway, and paint it hemi orange. Gonna paint the diff cover gunmetal blue, should look mint.

Just ordered my Mickey Thompson Deegan 38's, I can't wait! I went with 31x10.5xr15's on my procomp steelies with 3.5 back spacing. Hopefully rubbing won't be an issue.

Diff cover was a success! I heated up my bbq, turned it off and threw the diff cover in. It cured real nice in a short amount of time. Even got my new stereo wired in today, very productive.
