Cylinder heads...
What plans do you have for that head? Are you going to modify it? I am looking into a 3 angled affair, but not really sure if it is worth the trouble. I do have sticky lifters. I have a hose, and place one ear to one end, and put the other end on the cylinder head to amplify the lifter noise. What is really irritating me is every other day, it is a different lifter. You can tell by the noise created. I hate musical lifters. I look forward to seeing progress on this one.

Got my RE adj. track bar today. Hopefully tomorrow I'll be able to get all the steering components installed.

My version of a homebrewed shackle. Now I just need to figure out how to secure the shackle bolt since I snapped the old threads out this morning. I will eventually get this lift done. I think I might just lay out some cash for some new shackles

Today was a good day. I finally finished fabricating some new shackle boxes and they worked out awesome. I cut out the existing box because I needed more options for shackle position because of the new lift. I wanted it to be in the stock position because I don't want more than 3" of lift. After the paint dried I got all of the suspension components on the driver side. Now to tackle the other side. Hopefully I don't need a 4' cheater bar to get that hardware out.

So after many months of debate, instead of a new engine I found a new jeep to finish the build with. Scored a '98 classic with 145,000 on the odometer. Once this snow clears a bit the build will resume. Might have even found a garage to work in.

Finally after several months, and two Cherokees I have finished installing my 3" zone lift. I also relocated my brake lines, installed new steering box, new power steering pump, all new steering links and some RC adjustable LCA's. It was even warm enough out to paint my rims. Tomorrow the new 31's go on.

Good looking build/s. That sucks you had to switch vehicles but at least you'll have a doner if you need other parts.
You're welding looks good to me but I'm looking to get into welding too. To feel more manly as you put it.

The Bedliner in the wheel wells is coming along. The prep is real simple, all I needed to do was power wash the salt and dirt off. The old undercoat had become porouse creating a great bonding surface for some new undercoat. Any spots with visible rust I hit with the wire wheel and then 2 coats of por15 before the undercoat. It even goes as far as dampening road noise, the thicker the better.

Today's project is to instal the new Rough Country SYE courtesy of Rockridge 4x4. The part was a reasonable $199 and shipped in 3 days which was awesome. Hopefully by the afternoon I'll be cruising around in the snow without my driveline vibin out. I'm going to run the front shaft out of my 97 automatic XJ until I can scratch up some money for a new cv shaft. I'll try to post some picks as I progress.
