You have added some nice touches to accent the awesomeness of your XJ.

I'll be finishing my lift this weekend.

Thanks guys.

Started to install the rear leaf springs today, but the front bolt stopped me from getting the old ones out. I broke my socket wrench by standing on it, but the bolt didn't move. Buying a new wrench, a long tube for leverage and a butane torch tomorrow.

I've ordered a longer brake line and hopefully it'll get here soon. I also hope it will fit.. It's this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/16735-05-Rug...-/201040865244

This. Is a nice build. Love the gauges! Kinda dig the air holes in the header panel too! Good work! Keep it up!

Default Scandinavian blacked out 2 door.

Thanks!

Finished installing left side leaf pack today. Had to detach the brake line to lower the axle enough to get the leaf pack in. Also had to drill out the hole on the perch to fit the larger centering pin on the RE leaf pack. Used the winch to pull the axle forward to get it place.

Are you doing the lift in a parking lot? Lol

I saw no point in anything higher than 140 km/h (87mph), so... weeeeeee
I love that, might have to try it out. Any major modifications you needed to make?

Yeah, but not a public one though... It's just outside my house in the small housing estate I live in.

We're moving a little further out in the country next summer, and a big garage is definitely on top of the list when looking for a house then.

No, it was pretty straight forward. I just followed this write-up:

Yup. At least you have someplace to store your tools. I keep mine in the trunk...

Removed the leaf pack on the right side yesterday. It went well until I got to the front bolt. I got it unscrewed from the body, but it wouldn't come out of the bushing. Spent like four solid hours abusing it with grinder, drill and hammer before I gave up and cut it off. Probably should have done that earlier...

And then even more fun... In my endeavor to remove the bolt I managed to break the nut off the body.
So I drilled a hole and stuck a wrench up there to hold the nut. Going to cut it and then weld the hole later.

Finished rear lift this morning. Hopefully I will get the time to do the front later today or tomorrow. Missus is expecting our second kid any day now, so I guess that if I don't get it done soon it may take a while before I'll have any time for myself (and the Jeep...) again.

Thanks Airborne!

Set out to drop the transfer case today. It was going to be an easy task. Just remove the old bolts, insert spacers and then screw in the new bolts... Well, **** me. Stripped the threads in two of the holes.. So, out to buy a tap and larger bolts tomorrow...

Thats what I thought, too.

Did you have any tire rub before you added spacers? I want 33's, but Im probably going to stick with 31's, MAYBE 32's.

A little. Also noticed that turning radius improved after I added them.

Added the spacers mostly for aesthetic reasons though, since I the rubbing probably wouldn't be a problem after the lift.

I want 35's... But that will have to wait until I've replaced the D35.
