Brushed up on my painting skills this week. Painted my grandpa's tracker with international harvester red tractor paint. Turned out really well. Just have to pick a cool color for the xj now

Dropped some coin on Serious Offroad's 1-Ton Steering Kit and 2 Timken front wheel bearings. I will post pics when the parts arrive and when I install them.

This was my first vehicle - it was painted red stock and faded into a hideous red/pink color. Vehicle was so light weight that if you pulled the hand brake on a corner it would go on two wheels. Boy was that a fun little Geo Tracker!

Got my unit bearings in the mail yesterday. They look really well made.
Install went really smoothly thanks to WD-40 and air tools.
A tip for anyone else that does this, you will need a 36mm socket for the axle nut. I had to run to the parts store and buy one.
Didn't get a picture of the finished product because I had to rush to work. I can tell a big difference coasting and going around corners. Still waiting on my steering to show up and saving money for long arms.

Got my Serious steering kit in yesterday. Decided to hold off on the install until I get my long arms and do it all in one go.

This is how you recharge a deeply discharged optima battery if anyone wanted to know. The optima had around 5volts in it. You connect it to a fully charged battery +to+ and -to- then put a trickle charger on the full battery at 2amps. This should revive any optima with more than 2volts, below that, irreversible damage has most likely been done to the cells.

I've sold my subwoofers and have been kicking around the idea of building something like this in the back of my xj. We will see where it goes. I don't have any solid plans yet.
