Mine was really ghetto. I went and bought a handful of switches from radioshack and wired all of the lights straight to the battery it was really messy. I took it all out when I put on my Light bar and cleaned up all my wiring. Still have all the random switches though.

Finally got my winch bolted up. Didn't take too many pics because it was pretty straightforward. If anyone wants to see anything specific just ask. Oh and before anyone says anything, I drove it around and got it up to temp with no overheating issues. :P

Update: Drove back to college today 2hrs on the interstate. My temp was actually a little higher than usual, but nowhere near overheating. I will probably install some hood vents just to help out especially during this summer heat coming up.
I also went kayaking today with my roommate and had a blast.

Wow, it has been a while. I have been very busy this summer with work, school, a boat project, and last but not least my jeep. I haven't really had time to even think about this thread lol. I haven't done anything too major on the jeep since I have been away. I did install an extra battery in the rear cubby hole, but it is still rough.
I still need to trim the plastic more and get some edge trim. I don't have a picture of it right now, but it is wired up. I used 4ga wire, which is actually kinda small for this, from the front battery positive to the rear battery positive. In between the two are two mega fuses(one at each end) and a continuous duty solenoid that is used to isolate the batteries.
Also, for any of you that enjoy the mud, the hole behind the cubby was full of damp dirt in mine. This could easily rot out the rear quarter panel It might be a good idea to check this area on your jeeps. There was a hole near the bottom that I sealed up.

My other big project this summer was a boat that I got for free. It was a nice '84 Bayliner Capri 1500 with an Evinrude 48SPL.
The engine ran great after I cleaned the carbs, so I decided to go ahead and tackle the interior. After a short inspection, I found the whole floor and the braces underneath to be rotten. So I tore it all out and started the rebuild.
It was a fun project and now I have an awesome boat that I built for less than $400.

I have been having issues with rough idling after a hot start. I did a little research and found out it is caused most likely by a cylinder 3 misfire. That injector is really close to part of the exhaust manifold so it gets a lot hotter than it should. The fuel vaporizes and creates a misfire on hot starts. This problem showed itself after I installed my big ole 8274, so even though coolant temp gains were minimal, I guess there is more heat in the engine bay overall. For a quick fix, I plan follow this guy's advice.

When I got my Jeep, I wrote down a list of all of the modifications I wanted to do to it. I found that list on my old computer yesterday and was able to actually cross everything off. According to my sixteen year old self, my Jeep is finally finished, but as we all know a Jeep build is never finished. I wanted to take the time to write down "Phase Two" of my Jeep build, here and in another word document.
1. One Ton Steering Upgrade (JCR OTK most likely)
2. Long arms (IRO most likely)
3. Rock Sliders (Don't know yet)
4. Skid Plates
5. Rear Tire Carrier Bumper (Logan's Metal)
6. Cowl Intake (Spectre)
7. Extended Brake Lines (Braided Steel)
8. Rear Locker (Powertrax No-slip)
9. Cut-out Style Fender Flares (Bushwhacker or Rugged Ridge)
10. 33-35" Tires (Most likely an all terrain like the BFG AT or General Grabbers)
I hope this "phase" doesn't take 3 more years. I'm sure there will be tons of smaller projects in-between, but this is what I will be doing in the coming months. I look forward to hearing y'alls opinions on this stuff.
