I'm definitely looking at going with 31" all terrain tires. I don't know a ton about tires and tire sizes but I have heard good things about General grabber at2 tires. If anyone has suggestions I'd love to hear them!

I can't speak on the at2 other than they are a cheaper (less expensive) copy of the BFG ATs, I've read good reviews on them as well.
I am running General GMax AS3 on my car and General Grabber red letter on my Jeep, I'm quite happy with General overall. They converted me from BFG.

So it's been a couple months since I've had time/money to continue work on Sal but here's where we are.
I got my rough county quick disconnect sway bar links in the mail along with extended brake lines from a 95 wrangler. Today I bought 3 yards of headliner material (grey) from Joann fabrics and 3m super 77, an alpine head unit and all necessary install accessories, and ordered the frontrunner slimline ii roof rack from Sierra expeditions. Also I had to buy a few new tools such as a torx set and mini wrenches along with some brake fluid. So I began work on the car starting with the disconnects.
I've watched several videos on how to get the lower bolts that are pressed in out but nothing worked! Heat, clamps, sockets, Wire brushes, hammers, chisels, pry bars...nothing worked so I had to go to harbor freight and buy an angle grinder with a cutoff wheel and cut both sides of the bolt off. So I did that but then it started pouring lol so it will have to wait to be drilled out in the morning

I got a TON done over this last weekend including installing the sway bar quick discos, headliner, radio install, fixed the cowl water leak on my floorboards and extended break lines. The sway bar links took forever because I had a to cut them and drill one of them out (not recommended! Use a pitman arm puller!!!) the headliner came out well and the head unit works great! I found that the water inside the cab when it rained came from the air intake under the cowl so I just put a contractor tarp and cut it to size under the cowl so water cannot get in. I'm currently having issues with having a soft break pedal which basically has no ability to stop Sal at all. I replaced the front brake lines with extended ones from a 95 wrangler and no matter how much I bleed them the pedal never works so that is my current situation lol

I finally figured out what the brake problem was! After bleeding the brakes and adjusting just about everything for days I finally figured out that the calipers were put on the wrong sides when the po redid the brakes. I flipped them and bled them and noticed that the prop valve was leaking. Opened that up and retightened the bolts and violá! Braking power!!! Also put the frontrunner rack on and am super stoked how it came out! Sal is coming together very nicely!

Nice! That rack looks almost like the one I have in my brain to build. What's the weight limit on it?

I think it's 600lbs static and about 300 lbs moving. My wife and I climbed right up and it was solid. Here's the link to the site. http://www.frontrunneroutfitters.com/roof-racks/slimline-ii-roof-rack-kits/front-runner-slimline-ii-full-rack-jeep-cherokee-sport-2017
I heard about them from expedition overland on YouTube. They have them on their 4Runners but they're extremely modular and easy to attach stuff too. Once it's all set up we will have the tent, two hammocks, fuel and maxtrax up there. And eventually lights

I'm suprised I didn't catch that, I'm waiting for they're new season haha. Thanks for the info. I just have this idea of a flat "deck with the entire floor expanded metal so you could literally strap, zip tie, or bolt anything you wanted to it when and where ever.

Oh man I am jealous, I want that roof rack so bad. You can do so many things with it, even put a bottle opener on the side, haha. I have the ARB roof basket now, but I think I'm gonna sell it and buy the Front Runner instead.

So it's been a couple months since the last update. I got temp tags put on and found that the sway bar links were clunking because they were so long. I flipped the mount on the sway bar from the bottom of the sway bar to the top which made them just short enough not to clunk and put the bar nearly horizontal while driving. But Sal has developed severe death wobble on the highway! I'm gonna check the track bar today and see if that is the issue. My wife vaccumed and steam cleaned the entire jeep and she looks good as new too!

I have decided that my death wobble is caused from a few tie rod ends. So I'm replacing my drag link and also ordered a rough country track bar and steering stabilizer. I will update once they are put on

I fixed the death wobble!!! I replaced the trackbar with a rough country adjustable trackbar and replaced the drag link and tie rod ends. Also went wheeling in Maryland and then New Hampshire on Christmas.
