Looking good sir. You made some big progress this weekend. Those mounts are what I'm dreading most about my LA install when I do it.

To be honest, I was dreading it. Started with the drill bits, and said "oh hell no, there's gotta be a better way...", and once I got that bit, it was a breeze.

Your 4 friends doing this, are a die grinder with cutoff wheel, drill with that spot weld bit, sawzall, and an air chisel. had the second one out in about 2 hours. First one, double that, account for learning curve, and not all the right tools.

That's the cleanest lower control arm removal I've ever seen. NICE

Thanks. I wanted it to be as clean as possible...could've just hacked 'em out and been good, but I like to do things the proper way, LOL

Too tired to put words to it all...lets just say mids are tacked in. Got too windy to burn 'em in, So I just did prep and tacking them in. Gonna hit it early tomorrow so there isn't wind (hopefully)

Nice! Hey, I got a question for ya... is a 90 amp flux welder enough to secure those?

LOL...when I took those pics, I had grand dreams of posting them up with descriptions of what was happening. So tired last night, I said F it.

So in the couple of pics right before that, you can see my dad's car, the Rolls K'Gnarly...parked it in front of the jeep as a wind break, didn't work very well...then I took a pic of the Yaris, my BIL's new ride. I told him to name it the "LamborTeenie"...LMFAO

Also in those pics, you can see where I welded a new nut in place for my transmission crossmember. Old one stripped out. So I used a step drill to open it up big enough to get a new nut in there, and welded it in place. Problem solved.

That's what I said. LOL

Also in those pics you can see my needle scaler. So glad I bought that thing. Had all my undercoating and crud under there removed in 20 minutes. I highly recommend. Use it all the time at work.
