Phone just wacked out but anyways
Now you em
Now you don't.
I put some primer on the bare areas for now ill smooth everything out when I do all my body work for paint.
I took some pictures of the dash mount I was talking about in my last post.
This is the lower mount just took a step bit and drilled it out.
The upper mount spot welded into place and used factory hardware
All the upper mounts
That's it for today hopefully ill be able to get more time to work on it next weekend. I have to get some more parts. Then I can start body work and paint.

Got some more done today. I put my new doors on.
I had to mess around with it to get it to fit right and line up but they came out good
Then I had to put in the 97+ door strikers. First I lined it up on the door jam. I used tape to hold it and closed the door(not all the way just to see if it'll go into the latch) to make sure it was where I wanted it. Looked like this.
Once I liked where it was I marked it's location
The black area in the middle is where I made the cut to allow the new striker to sit properly and still have adjustment it all directions.
That's the hole I ended up with. I then took my bracket ( sheet metal with 2 5/16 nuts welded to it ) and the new striker and mounted it up and adjusted it. Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of the new one all finish, next time I work on it I'll take one. If you have any questions just ask.

So its been a while since i updated this thing. The jeep has gone through some changes. I got the MJ running and driving and took it wheeling at Uwharrie. Did awesome not a single problem till i broke out my rear glass. But other than that it did well. I bought some new axles and rims and tires and in the process of building it again. Ill just show pics and get everyone caught up. And this time ill keep it up to date on whats going on with it.
Had to cut the old section of firewall out and replace with 87+ firewall for the 4.0L
Painted
Tore the Xj apart
Everything ran and ready for motor install.
My 98 hvac unit.
Motor Time!!
Cut all not needed circuits out.
All Cleaned up and ready for install.
Got it running.
Got the front axle in.
welding rear perches after setting pinion angle.
finally on its own weight.
Cut 8" off the back of the frame
Welded a piece of 2x4 3/16 on the back.
yj brake lines, and rear dodge pick up rear line
Shortly after i got it drivable. I took it for a test run. And while checking to see if my brake lights were working. I stuck Kurt Busch's mail box(yes the nascar driver)
FInally!!!!!!! Out Wheeling.
10 37s for 700 bucks couldn't pass it up.
H1 Rims 12Bolt
HP 44 out of a 79 F250 with 5:38s and detroit
D44 parts
14 Bolt. Why cause its cheap and strong as hell. Will be getting shaved.
Hp44 going together
New spindles
All geared up.

Did some work on the front axle today. a little more info on the axle = its a dana 44-9f out of a 79 f-250 high pinion. Did all new seals and bearings
Inner- bearing LM104949 cup LM104910
Outter- Bearing cone set A35
Hub Seal- 4250
Spindle kit- SBK1
got them all installed and bolted everything up to make sure i had the correct axle shafts. Will all be coming apart again to do balljoints, u joints, pads, caliper and get the rotors turned. After i mocked up where all my brackets are going to go and seeing if ill have any issues. everything looks good but need to play around with my tracbar mount. Heres the pictures i took.

Didn't work on my jeep this weekend but i did get some stuff done on my bosses ranger. I geared his dana 60 to 513. He's also building a rig to go wheeling this year.
And i got my square tube inserts from ruffstuff last week for my 3 link.
This came in the shop. AMC20 out of a 79 CJ7. Inner pinion bearing blew out and destroyed the rear end.
Got all my shims measured and laid out.
New bearings
Made a setup inner pinion bearing race by chucking it up in a lathe and ground it down with a 50 grit abrasive disk on a grinder.
Took a carbide bit to the carrier bearings
Race with the starting shim pack. .030"
Installed
Set the back lash to .007 Ran the pattern and it was good.
