Got some more done today. I put my new doors on.

Rock Valley 4X4 Mj-forumrunner_20130714_213853.jpg

I had to mess around with it to get it to fit right and line up but they came out good

Rock Valley 4X4 Mj-forumrunner_20130714_214019.jpg

Rock Valley 4X4 Mj-forumrunner_20130714_214042.jpg

Then I had to put in the 97+ door strikers. First I lined it up on the door jam. I used tape to hold it and closed the door(not all the way just to see if it'll go into the latch) to make sure it was where I wanted it. Looked like this.

Rock Valley 4X4 Mj-forumrunner_20130714_214423.jpg

Once I liked where it was I marked it's location

Rock Valley 4X4 Mj-forumrunner_20130714_214458.jpg

The black area in the middle is where I made the cut to allow the new striker to sit properly and still have adjustment it all directions.

Rock Valley 4X4 Mj-forumrunner_20130714_214530.jpg

That's the hole I ended up with. I then took my bracket ( sheet metal with 2 5/16 nuts welded to it ) and the new striker and mounted it up and adjusted it. Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of the new one all finish, next time I work on it I'll take one. If you have any questions just ask.

Did some work on the front axle today. a little more info on the axle = its a dana 44-9f out of a 79 f-250 high pinion. Did all new seals and bearings
Inner- bearing LM104949 cup LM104910
Outter- Bearing cone set A35
Hub Seal- 4250
Spindle kit- SBK1

got them all installed and bolted everything up to make sure i had the correct axle shafts. Will all be coming apart again to do balljoints, u joints, pads, caliper and get the rotors turned. After i mocked up where all my brackets are going to go and seeing if ill have any issues. everything looks good but need to play around with my tracbar mount. Heres the pictures i took.

Didn't work on my jeep this weekend but i did get some stuff done on my bosses ranger. I geared his dana 60 to 513. He's also building a rig to go wheeling this year.

And i got my square tube inserts from ruffstuff last week for my 3 link.

This came in the shop. AMC20 out of a 79 CJ7. Inner pinion bearing blew out and destroyed the rear end.

Got all my shims measured and laid out.

New bearings

Made a setup inner pinion bearing race by chucking it up in a lathe and ground it down with a 50 grit abrasive disk on a grinder.

Took a carbide bit to the carrier bearings

Race with the starting shim pack. .030"

Installed

Set the back lash to .007 Ran the pattern and it was good.
