So I had some time and for $35 I was able to replace the broken grill and missing piece for the drivers side headlight bezel. I was able to get rid of the rusted metal pieces top and bottom.

The ones I put on were from a '95 XJ and I did have to modify the header panel a bit. The '89 had mounts that stuck out too far . I simply sanded down those points and the replacements screwed in.

It has been awhile since I posted an update, but I thought I would post a few updates. I have been building my trail xj. In the last few months, I swapped in a pair of locked, geared, trussed Dana 44s, new 37s and a list of other upgrades.

This last month I acquired a free mass of stock suspension parts from a friends build. I was able to finally get rid of the leaf packs, bad track bar, bad shock and put on a steering stabilizer which it didn't have.

Default Lights...

So I finally got new lights all around on my '00xj as you can see, so I decided to use my housings on my '89. I picked up a new HID kit with H4 Bi-Xenon bulbs for $70 and they are awesome. I'll have to throw a pic up later of its light.

I will have to replace the alternator next week as its bearing is shot and I really dont want to mess with an old alternator.

Default Project mostly complete

So for now since I did a 97+ update, and swapped in a lot of red panels, it is red for now. But it had been so far a reliable daily driver.
