Rebuild it. It's not that hard to do and then you don't have to worry about a PO life. What exactly is wrong with it?

Cloud of smoke on every startup, most of the time at idle, and constant while driving. 4.0L is cheaper to replace than it is to fix. Two cylinders have scarring on the walls.

And Fritz and Aaron are right about mechanicals

depending on timing should be easy to find one cheap and I'm sure the club will help with the swap. Doesn't sound too bad.
