Edit..never mind. That thing looks big for a 4.5 inch kit. Im on a 45 inch RE lift. Rustys makes good stuff, im glad to see someone else who supports them. Do you like the prerunner bumper? I am considering it..

That's what I thought. I'm thinking its just the tires. After a couple of weeks I'm sure it will drop a little as things break in. I do have to say I really like the prerunner bumper. For the price you would be hard pressed to find a cheaper bumper that is as strong. It ties in back a lot farther that the stock bumper and took about 20 minutes to install. One thing I recommend if you get it is to buy some larger grade 8 bolts and get rid of the stock bolts and clips. I had to drill out the bumper a little to match the bolts but it looks a lot stronger. Also don't get the skid plate. It's way over priced for that bumper and a 1/4inch piece of steel

Ooh and as an update the noise I was hearing was a broken wheel stud that hadn't fallen off yet. The new noises I'm hearing are quite driveline vib and fender rubbing. So on the order of this weekend is to add a t case drop, and cut fenders.

Hey everyone,
Thanks for the comments. So I dropped the XJ off at the shop to get my alignment done. Its going to be there until Monday so no new updates until then.
Does anyone have an idea for mounting my new Highlift jack? I was thinking hood, roof, or bumper( until my "Financial Adviser" lets me buy a winch)" Also do you have any ideas for the actual mount itself? I have heard they rattle a lot and can be annoying. Also I want to deter theft of the jack when its parked behind the garage.
Thanks for reading everyone!

I have seen that option before. I really like that set up. I'm not sure if I can go that route as I plan on having my tool kit and medical kit under the seat. If I can fit those somewhere else, I might be able to make that work.
I also need a solution for securing loads as well. On most of my jobs I have an assortment of tools that are rather large and heavy like fence pullers, chainsaw, brushsaw, drip torches, hand tools, backpack sprayers, and various size jugs of liquids. I am thinking of making a low profile roof rack that just tube steel and some sort of fence or other material I can attach ratchet straps for my larger pieces of equipment. For the cargo area, I want to bed line and make several attachment points with D-rings or something with the same effect. Let me know what you think!
