I'm not a fan of the appearance of the large black panel bolted to the Jeep. I would suggest you paint the panel to match the body and paint the flare portion black. I like the cutout of the logo, a black vinyl behind the logo on the fender to make it stand out. My two Lincolns.

Time to change the fluid in my NP231. Used 1.5 quarts of Castrol ATF +4. This had to be the first time since 2001 the juice in the t-case saw daylight. Process was helped along by a 3/8 10mm Allen socket and a Horrible Freight fluid transfer pump.

Nope Dex/merc, is in the tranny. Just what I found on shelf quick at advanced auto. They were out of stock of Dex III.
Found on another forum:
"Actually, ANY ATF will work in the transfer case. The reason that Dexron is the only thing to use in the AW-4 trans is because the friction modifiers needed for the clutch packs are purpose designed. If you use the wrong ATF in the trans, you risk damaging the clutches.
The transfer case, lacking any such devices, is pretty tolerant of any of the various ATF blends, because all it needs is the oil content of the ATF, and none of the friction modifiers."

Ive just always been taught to put the same in both the tranny and transfer case. I'm sure it doesn't REALLY matter, just what I grew up on and still hear around my work.

thanks, can't wait to get them. Josh @ Hooligans is fabricating them as we speak. Website says 2-4 week lead time. I have a small LED project coming up, replacing the instrument panel lights with LEDs from http://onewaylight.com. Stay tuned...
