Well here is a story all about how my life got flipped, turned upside down, and id like to take a minute just sit right there ill tell you how i got into the jeep game.
So first car was a Chevy Blazer..no clue in my mind now why i would want it. no power, horrible on gas. had to have it. was looking at cherokees but apparently i was sick in the mind and decided to buy a used 96 chevy blazer.
theres a pic below of one from the internet that looked like mine. so then gas prices went up and my spending money went down. decided i needed better mpgs.
at this time im 17 and still in highschool by the way. then traded the blazer in for a 98 civic ex. fun little car. considered that my first car. just cheap little mods done to it. lowered, strut bars, rims, intake, exhaust, all new speakers and two 12" subs. pic below.
then one night leaving a diner was at a traffic light i hear screeching tires, look in the rearview mirror and see headlghts coming alittle sideways towards me. brace for impact. BAM. guess what hit me..i jeep cherokee. how ironic. totaled the car and i hit the car infront of me from the impact and pushed it about 20 feet. the jeep and the car i hit were fine . mine totaled.
so with little cash decided to buy my friends 96cherokee he had for sale. his first car he did all the work i just drove it for a bit. 2000$ 4" fabtech lift. old man emu rear leafs, 32" bfg at's, rack and 6 hella lights, full exhaust. bunch of stuff. fun jeep.
driving home from work about to go put brakes on the jeep. roads were wet from the rain and the way i come from work is a curvy mountain road. trying not to use the brakes cuz missing a spring and screwing up the drum everytime i hit them. so went too fast around a corner and spun it out. almost hit a car. hit a guard rail with front end then slid to a stop. drove it almost home and power steering went out. called tow truck took it to a shop.(big mistake, shouldve fixed the damage.) needed a new steering box, radiator and bent rad support and a few other things. so insurance co gave me $2200 for it and let me keep the rack, lights, all my stuff and tires. so got to keep alot of things and got more then i paid for it. not to bad. had that jeep for like 4 months maybe.
then bought my 95 cherokee sport. gonna post some pics then continue my story. never made a build thread before so trying to figure it all out..

and then after saving up bought a Rough country 4.5" lift kit with nitro shocks and adjustable track bar. make sure u pm a guy named grimus- i forget how its spelled but hes a RC rep on here and he will get you more then 10% off your order. just search it. ummm so after work one day went and got everything together, beer, pizza and oh yea the jeep and lift kit. then started working on a friday night after work. i worked sat am at 8 and we started the lift prob at like 6pm maybeb. stock track bar didnt come off too easy. a bolt broke off in the frame where it goes through the rear leaf and into the frame. but came out fairly easy. so then went to work and finished it the next day. didnt think lift kits were going to be all that work.. but its worth it. then kept stock tires on until i got her aligned.time for picsss
