all in all im not overly worried avout it yeat since theres still quite a bit of other stuff to do before i can drive it any how so a misfire isnt a big deal atm. ive got a new ignition switch on the way so at least ill have power again

No, I don't lick fish.
Right on. Oughtta bring her down for Jeeptoberfest next year. Not a lot of LS-Swapped XJs frequent the event. You'd be a you-knee-korn.

ok been a while since i updated:
go9t the #7 mis figured out, my replace ment coil for that cylinder turned out to be a dud, reintalled the damaged one and no more mis!
did a bunch of wiring ( making my temp connections permanent, tying in the fan controls/gauges blah blah blah..) just have the tach and speedo to wire and re-wire the CEL
got the trans mount drilled/tapped/and bolted in
i didnt fry the pcm, turns out when i mounted the gm fuseblock on the fire wall it was pulling one of the fuse tab out of contact with the fuse
good news is after getting a couple of those bugs i got the jeep to move under its own power! i drove t around the block a couple times
Bad news is its not shifting out of first gear, and the transfer case adapter is leaking signifigantly

its pretty close, just need to wire the tach and speedo, build the exhaust, and some other misc things and it should be drivable
hopefully i dont need to yank the trans, i was having a tps issue which maybe the culprit, ore hopefully its something electrical not a toasted trans issue
best case it fixes its self like my alternator did

This is a beauty. Great job on it. Just read from about page 50 onward. Saw you were considering jk axles, Midwest jeeps in IL sells them form 1250/piece when they have them. Cheapest I've really seen consistently.

id love jk axles but its just not in the scope right now, ls swap has drained a lot of $$ and im trying to save for a house. i may do a medium level 8.8( oe 4.10s/lsd, c-clip eliminators with dual drilled shafts, iro truss and perch kit) but i still have lots of other projects to tackle like getting the trans working/drive shafts/ stiffners/ emissions yatta yatta
im hoping the trans is an electrical or valve body issue, i was told it only had 80k on it but it was behind a 6.0L denali so who knows, im focusing on wire cleen up now that the wirings mostly done

Good to hear. That's what my plan is - otk and offset 1 ton TREs from ruffstuff. Was the end result worth the trouble in your opinion?
