not a thing has happened with the jeep in a while. started a new job and have been working crazy hours(not unusual for me this time of year) im getting paid better tho and ive got a good bonus coming my way so im going to be ordering a few v8 related things

ive actually been dd'ing the 99 for a week or so cause ill be out of town for work for a while and ive already dropped scarlett off at my moms where she'll live till i get back

so far ive also ordered a couple more small novak items, and a set on new rear outer wheel bearings and seals since i think the bearings are going bad. when i get back from in town i will be moving in to a house/selling or trading the black get for a chevy pick up(to become a project/dd as well) and putting scarlett under the knife for a while, but i will make sure the 4.0 hits 250 k first

alright been a awhile since ive done anything, ive been in florida for 2 months for work jeepless. ust got back today and have some time off work so im going to try and get some stuff done

just ordered an advanced adapters np231 to 4l60e adapter for the v8 swap. they were doing an 18% off on all adapters today plus free shipping plus an additional 10% dicount promo code i had so i save 112$

planning on doing the 8.25s bearings and seals on friday along with fresh gear/engine oil, and finding my clunking from the front.

going to attempt to get my wj swap done finally, maybe. also going to attempt to make a junk yard run to pickup a bunch of misc stuff

and my cleer coat decided to start peeling off the driver fender in my absence my just replace it instead of paining it

got my transfer case adapter today! just waiting till i move to a place with a garage, and for the current motor to hit 250K before i start the 5.3 swap.

Plan
-lowest mileage 5.3/4l60e package i can find for around 1500$
-ill rework the truck harness my self and have the pcm sent out to lt1swap.com for reprogramming
-19x22 allstar radiator
-np231j+c/Np241 hybrid(241c 6pinion planatery/np231 wide chain and gear) adapted with the advanced adapters t-case adapter
-novak mounts/headers
-boostwerks shifter linkage
-facory gauges(shouldnt need the xj pcm as a gauge mule since theyre pre 97 style gauges)
-factory fuel pump with gutted regulator with 3/8 line to motor(will switch to a walboro 255lph if needed but many jeepers are using the facory jeep fuel pump with out issue
-exhaust: 2.25 pipes from the headers into a 3" cat back custom made with mandrel bent peices from summit

un decided if i will switch to a car intake yet or just run a cowl hood

sold the 99 about a week or so ago, then my dad decided to pull the trigger on his new car, then my uncle bought my dads car and since i had the cash after selling the 99 for a profit i decided to go a head and by my uncles truck. got a pretty good deal on it. paid 2500 when the blue book value was 3700

Project Scarlett: taking my time and doing it right the first time-2015-12-06-16.33.00.jpg

03 dodge dakota 2wd auto 4.7 110k
-paint needs some help(duh)
-needs a good tune up
-needs alignment
-blower motor only works on high

all in all not a bad purchase , i think this one may actually stick for a while
will serve as the dd whilst the jeeps gets its 5.3

That's cool... yeah, mine had the 3.9 - wasn't fast by any means, but it was a torquey little thing. Wasn't afraid to pull anything with it.. even with the 5 speed tranny. The 4.7 is grunty and has good pickup, that one should last you a while though, 'cause by the time '03 rolled around they fixed the problems with the valve seats dropping valves... which was the demise of my '00 WJ 4.7

went to the junyard today

Project Scarlett: taking my time and doing it right the first time-2015-12-19-18.12.39.jpg

picked up:
-another volvo cooling fan and shroud, the origional shroud i had when i swapped in the volvo fan got hacked up and buying the whole assembly was marginaly more $$ than buying just the fan so i bought it all and now i have a spare
-a bunch of 2nd gen s10 relays and relay mounts, gonna use these to run the 5.3 and other accessories and mount them
-late 90s chevy auto dimming/temp/compass rear veiw mirror, it was 9 bux so why not? plus the temp/compass in my OHC is garbage so im gonna gut it and replace it with a switch panel
-01 xj washer reservior, just for sakes of making the engine bay less cluttered, plus since scarletts a 96 shes already got all the slots for it so it should be a pretty straight forward swap
-volvo fan fuses, theyre super plug and play cant belive i didnt see these when i did this swap

still gonna be a few weeks till anything happens really, still waiting to move out of my apartment in to a house, once i move and gett settled in i will do the wj swap and the bearings and seals in the rear whilst i continue to gather parts and ten start the 5.3 swap
