The hood had too many little chips and cracks to paint as is. Decided to sand it down and primer it. Some sanding and it'll be ready to paint.

finally got my sliders in from JCROffroad. Very nice, solid, sturdy construction and they look awesome. sprayed them down too with the same stuff i used on the quarter armor and underneath. ill put them on after paint.

body work going, hoping to primer today. also replaced the driver door. had rust on the bottom and didn't wanna deal with cutting out and replacing a piece and doing even more body work. find a rust free, dent free one at the junk yard. progress going well. hoped to paint this week but theres still a bit of prep work. but my goal is to have it all painted by mid next week, and start assembly

Put down the primer today. I'll let it dry over the weekend then get to sanding on Monday and hopefully paint Tuesday and then to start assembly by the end of the week. Getting close to being done.

Nice attention to detail on the build, going from the base up. Definitely interested in seeing this progress. What brand is that spray-can undercoating you are using?

Thank you. And I'll try to post up a pic tomorrow. Don't remember off the top of my head. But a local distributor sells it, I got it from him.

Had a change today to spray the hood down while the primer is drying. Turned out great and won't need to buff anything. Hopefully the rest of the jeep turns out as good.

I like the color! Its going to look real nice when you are done. Are you jamming this thing too? Wish I had access to a spray booth! Although, I absolutely hate doing body work.

no I'm leaving the jams black, I'm fine with them being black. It'd be too much work to do that too. and thanks, I'm happy with the color and i think it'll look great with all the black

Here is the undercoating I'm using. But I'm sure there are many brands as good or better to use

Got everything sanded down. A few more scratches and rock chips filled in and sanded. Waiting for the glass guy to come cut out the front and back windshields for better painting so you won't see black under the mouldings. Tape and paint tomorrow
