Finally got my bumper to SC. That thing is crazy overbuilt, must admit I was slightly aroused. Haha. But that all ended when I dropped the news on the Mrs. " You bought what? WTF!!!!!!"

Got my spare mounted up and ready to go. Now I got to get the cluster **** of a mess left over from the audio install cleaned up so I can bring my new bumper and sliders home to start prepping them for paint.

Went and checked out a 2000 limited today. Cooling system is chit, think the head has cracked. Gonna try to pick it up cheap, throw in a new 4.0 and spruce it up to use as a DD until my daughter gets her license then it will be hers.

Other XJ was a no go. Dude wouldn't take less than $1,600. Oh well.

Got the booger welded receiver cut off of my bumper.

Also ask for everyone to take a moment of silence for ole orange, my HF grinder. He gave me 8yrs. of good service and gave his life for the cause. He will be missed.

Haha, for real. I usually use 3 grinders when I'm doing fab. That old Chicago handled everything I threw at it. Even out lasted a Milwaukee.

Haven't had a chance to start on em. I'm going to have to relocate the mounting brackets to clear my long arm crossmember. Between work and getting stuff ready for Christmas, time is at a premium.

Ugh.. Well, at least it will be done right.. Once the zaniness of the holidays are over everything can go back to normal.. Won't that be novel.

Got my lower quarter armor and headlight harness in today! Gonna make some extensions for the armor to make it blend into the factory flares.

Finally got a little time to spend on the bumper. Got all of the roll on bedliner off, got my panel welded in to cover the mess left from the receiver, and got the end caps stripped and sprayed. Fairly productive day. Gotta pick up some flap disc so I can finish blending the panel then she is ready to paint.

Got my rear bumper installed. Still have to strip and paint the tire carrier. Honestly don't really like the look, looks too bulky. Hopefully it grows on me.

Thanks for the kind words man. Should finish my tire carrier tonight, and sliders in a week or so. Then it's gonna be slow going while I save up to build new axles. I came across some JK Rubicon Dana 44's with factory e-lockers for $2,800 the other day, I was soooo tempted but the wife threatened to kill me
