I'd pretty lazy to be honest and would like 4.10s, but I'd like them already installed i.e. finding a 29spline 8.25/hp30 combo from a 4cyl. Hard number. Are the Volvo LSDs available for 3.55s? I'll have to research this more.

Thought I'd drop this picture here to show the trail damage:

Also, a nice profile shot:

I'm looking for some diff armor as they took a bit of a beating last weekend on the rocks. Suggestions?

I went to the Jy yesterday and saw another volvo lsd for 4.10s might pick it up as a spare...

You know that even if you find one with the same gear ratio you'll still need to set the backlash and such right? If you're going through the trouble you might as well do gears at the same time. Find a 4.10 LSD for the front and pay for the rear gears or find one locally.

Good point. I also might as well save up for a proper selectable locker... which is what I'll end up doing.

In the meantime, just bought some added armor for my low-slung rig:

I've looked at Ruffstuff's 8.25 diff cover too. That thing looks intense:

http://www.ruffstuffspecialties.com/catalog/825COV.html

Not sure if I'll get that or save some money and try a Solid cover for the rear.

The Poison Spyder diff cover came in. This thing is pure beef. The packaging was also fantastic! The hardware was separated and the bolts are grade 8. Will purchase from Poison Spyder again.

Install was easy.

I also recently bought a front driveshaft with all-new spicer joints and 20 miles. Replaced it while I was at it. The old driveshaft seemed to be in meh shape and the u-joints, as you can see, were in bad shape.

In that picture, yes. The newer one was just fully compressed. Installed, there is a bit a wiggle as it's extended but I guess that's normal? It rides fine.

Sweet!!! Specs on the XJ? You'll have to join Titan Offroad and Knox Offroad. I'm probably going to Windrock this Saturday if you'd like to join. Just cruise some g trails and take pictures most likely. I take it you drive a Civic too?

I'm still on the fence about modding mine.

Titan offroad, and knox offroad? Those forums? I think im already on Knox. I know Tony Bolton. I dont have a civic, havent in years. Way back in my highschool days I did. The forum name has just always stuck with me. I have used it ever since. I have had supras, corvettes, evos, etc etc since then.

Went exploring to Catoosa wildlife management area and through Nemo Tunnel. Tennessee is very pretty.

It was a VERY easy day but still had fun. Got to drive around some gravel roads somewhat quickly which was cool. I sorta wish my rig was louder though. Oh well.

Their 4wd wasn't working.

Haven't done much to her other than drive her... and become incredibly frustrated with an intermittent lack of power problem. Every so often, the rig will lose power under load in all gears as if it is being choked and then, it just goes back to normal. It happens mostly right after being started after it had been running but then turned off for a bit like going into a store.

I'm reading zero codes so my thoughts are:

1. Fuel pump/fuel filter
2. Cap, rotor, coil
3. O2/catalytic converter

Thoughts? Overly edited picture for attention.

Truck is looking good...
She cleans up nice...reminds me of the pic you did down here in the Everglades...

Have you checked for stored codes?
Sometimes it won't show a check engine light but will store a code...

Thanks man! There are just a few things I miss about Florida. The glades are definitely one of them.

I did check for stored codes and nothing. I'm going to try and go with option 2 first and replace cap, rotor, coil this weekend.

No sir, they're Ravines. 15x8 with standard 5.25" backspacing. At full lock, I do rub on my lcas. There is a profound mark on each one because of it.

Sooner than later I'd like to get some adjustable uppers and lowers and switch to 4" springs.
