So, my check engine light came on the other day. The transmission feels like it's not shifting properly. I took it into my buddy's shop to have him check it out. I hope it's fixable, and I don't have to get a whole new tranny. No matter what, it will be fixed. I'm never getting rid of this XJ, and I guess if I just end up fixing everything it will run for a long time! Wish me luck guys. Updates will come as soon as I know what's wrong. Fingers crossed. *\_('',)_/*

There were 3 codes. 2 were for the throttle position sensor, and one was for the transmission control module. Got the TPS replaced, and the wires to the TCM redone, and now it shifts smoothly and no more check engine light!

Plans for my Jeep as of now:
new swaybar and bushings (current one is bent, and since it's my DD, I'd like to keep the swaybar, also because I already have JKS discos)
3/4 inch RE coil spacers up front to level out the ride
extended front and rear bumpstops from Daystar
TC and gas tank skid
Mountaineer rack
full size matching spare rim/tire
Hi Lift jack
front recovery D ring mounts tied in to the unibody
RE chromoly tie rod
KC lights on the front bumper
new stereo/speakers
alarm

I used Krylon Fusion for plastic in satin black for the flares and bumper ends, turned out pretty nice!

I cleaned them with simple green degreaser. The paint I used said no prep required, so I didn't sand or prep at all, and it turned out pretty nice.

Well, I'll be dropping my Jeep off at the local 4x4 shop on Friday to get an alignment, and have the suspension set and tuned properly. I can't wait until it's done, I'm tired of hearing the creaking from my new suspension.

Picked up my Jeep from the 4x4 shop today. It got an alignment, and they greased all the bushings, and checked all the bolts to make sure they're torqued properly. No more squeaking or creaking, and it rides straight and smooth. My next plans, besides the stereo and alarm, will be a brush guard with some KC lights, and a Yakima roof rack with 2 bike carriers and a basket for gear. I also eventually want to get a TC and gas tank skid, and then replace my side steps with 2x4 rocker skids from Tomken.

Just ordered some DPG off road sway bar disconnect cables. I should have them in before my first wheeling trip with Midwest Jeep Thing on November 8th. Can't wait to put them in to action!

I just ordered some Rubicon Express 3/4" coil spacers, Daystar extended front bump stops, K&N air filter, Accel tune up kit, new rear bump stop to replace one I was missing, and new tow hook brackets, because one of mine is bent. The Jeep should sit a lot more level after the spacers, and the bump stops are a must. Looking forward to getting it in and installed!
