Ok, got bored and tore apart my 4 banger. The rod bolts snapped. No visible damage to crank just the rod bearing. Might be able to salvage it for another go.

Now to business...gonna modify the Mercruiser air cleaner housing to fit the 2.5L TBI just for fun. Here it goes. Step one.

Test fit on spare engine. Next step, make adapter n weld to baseplate for 2.5L TBI.

Negative. Sent my turbines to a buddy to have powdercoated. Just put those on to roll her around.

How do you like it? Any problems? I'm gonna use my HD 242 (modded so AWD/FT, 4Hi & 4Lo only) is full locker is no go.
