I have never really been a jeep fan, so many wranglers around, nothing can be done to one that hasnt already been done. I was more into land rovers, they were different and not many around my home town. time came and past and i ended up selling both land rovers i had. when i time came to get back into off roading i refused to settled for a wrangler, my mom has one and i hate it. but the xj is more my style, different and versitile. so i found a great deal on my 99 and got it for 2500$ with 165000k miles on it. great shape, every thing worked and a good straight body no rust. the day after i bought it, i woke up done a mobile one fluid change on it and was headed to town for lunch with my dad. i never made it to town. 23hrs after i bought it, it was totaled. a lady pulled out in front of me and i t boned her at abt 45mph. i still say the land rover gods did it to me, i was wearing a land rover shirt at the time. lol but i bought the jeep back from the insurance company for 500$ and got a check for 3200$. so i came out in the good and have rebuilt and put the UGLY JEEP back on the road. it has now under went more cosmetic surgery with a chop top, and custom front bumper. i must say i have the jeep bug and i now understand. hope to see yall on the trail. i had something simular happen to me also .. i had been looking for a xj for a while .. this past april i found it 91 xj had a 3in lift winch bumper . picked up for 2k . had ot for a month working on it adding stuff put about 1k into it .it also came with a folder off all the recipts .may 24 i was stoped with signl on waiting to turn off the highway .and bam we where hit from the rear the guy was doing 65-70mph, its gone now ,but i didnt give up i found a nicer one for a couple hundred bucks more and have been working on it .i swear that if someone hits this one someone is going to get their arms ripped off and beat to death with them . hahaha

It sucks, but i didnt get to mad, the lady was 87 yrs old and i walk away with a few bruised ribs and a bump on the head, just glad she was ok. how do i get my pic to show up on the side of the post
