Ill continue tomorrow, and i have some stories with the jeep, too haha. And i just want to make this clear. My build thread is totally open to off topic discussion. I always go off on tangents, so bear with me when i do haha. But i dont mind if you like my tires, or if you like my dog or wanna talk about the climate or guitars, jobs, school, food, whatever....speak up! its fine by me.

Hey thanks! The other one is an L7...1939 i believe, or 1937? I looked it up and roughly dated it at one point but my memory isnt the best haha. The story behind that guitar is that it was my great grandfather's on my mom's side of the family, but when he died and my grandparents got it, it went into their attic for 20 or 40 years. I had no idea it was even there until my grandparents mentioned it to me one day and asked if i wanted to go check it out. They said it was "an old guitar," but my mouth dropped when i realized that it was a real Gibson. Unfortunately, it was in unplayable shape due to the attic and not having a case. So my other grandfather (on my dad's side), who is very musical, asked me to leave the guitr with him for a while. I did. Now, my grandfather is awesome and has a music/birthday/summer party every year at his house where people stay up till 2 playing folk songs and there are tents and campers all around his house, and a barbeque, etc. Unfortunately, this year due to his being in the hospital..but people still showed and the party webt on. Hes now out of the hospital. Anywho, at the party a few years back, i recieved the guitar back, put back into playing condition by my grandfather's friend. My grandfather on my dad's side is also an upholsterer and made me a case for it. Here's a better picture of it.

Hot damn i thought i had a lot of musical instruments. Im in the same boat as you though, balancing my time between guitars and jeeps. I played bass for the jazz band at my school for a while too but im focused more on blues/rock now. That gibson Archtop is a crazy good find though

Haha nice! I'm in jazz band.
So I would like to lift the Jeep soon...problem is going to be the install. I have no experience and I have NO idea at all what a shop would charge. Looking into a lift between 2 and 3 inches, but im not sure which I'll go with. I've saved up a little over $900 this summer, so I can definitely buy the parts...But they'd just be sitting on the floor waiting to be installed. Unsure if I'll try to tackle it with my dad, or save more money and have a shop do it
