Well, lift parts will be ordered early this week...Having problems with the Jeep taking a few more seconds to start than it should...It may be because temps are dropping for fall. It only has a problem after sitting for a while and it seems to happen in evening or night...bad fuel pump? My engine light came on this month too...I really hope its nothing too bad...im saving for tires, tint, and sound system upgrades...

6 1/4" speakers are in the sound bar! Not tons of bass (due to sound bar and no amplifier), but the clarity is MUCH better. Highs are way clearer. I now hear the back speakers almost as well as I do the fronts, as they seem much less muffled.

Can't wait to see it lifted man. Nice XJ so far. What type of rims and tires are you planning on getting?

And yeah, definitely get new leaf spring packs with your lift, you won't regret it. Add a leafs and blocks just don't cut it.

Thanks! I'm looking for a part time job at the moment, but plans for tires are most likely 245/75/r16 all terrains of some sort, on the wheels I have now...Unless I start making money fast, in which case I may spring for soft 8s, or Sidebiters. Depending on how much the drivetrain vibrates with the 3 inch lift, I may eventually get some .75"-1" shackles and coil spacers, once I get my tires (don't wanna go over 3" on stock tires)

Rusty's lifts are pretty inexpensive, and actually have some good reviews. All their stuff is made in the USA, and they've been around for a while. I'm a little biased, because I have a Rusty's lift on my Jeep, but I love it. It's not too stiff, and soaks up the bumps on the road. It also sits closer to 4 inches, even though it says it's a 3 inch lift. I added a RE1600 adjustable track bar and a RE steering stabilizer to top it all off.

I've heard really mixed reviews on Rusty's, Rough Country, and Zone (which were all that were in my budget), but the bad things I heard about Rusty's are the customer service (unless they're trying to sell you something, of course) so I basically ruled them out first. Then, Rough Country and Zone do forum benefits, but Zone's was easier to utilize, as all you have to do is put in the code with your order. With Rough Country, I had to take their word on a rebate after posting pics on the forum...I felt safer with Zone, so that's what I'll probably go with.

Thanks! Lol I wish I did but there are SO many bigger Jeeps and trucks in our school lot...It's a small town, but lots of kids are lobstermen/auto tech workers, etc. so there are some nice vehicles haha. A kid at about age 16-18, who hauls lobster traps on his own boat for 10 hours a day at peak of the season can make up to $300 per day, before bait and fuel costs...I know there used to be more Jeeps, but I think now we're down to my xj, 2 xjs both on 2" lifts, an xj on 4.5", a couple wranglers on 4.5", (plus liberties, grands, etc.) Then there's a nice duramax with stacks, a first-gen 4x4 Ram, a Cummins, a Ram on like 6" lift...There used to be a Powerstroke 7.3 on like 6" and there was another silverado on 6 or 7." I have a friend who has a Chrysler 300C Hemi, and another friend with a 2011 Mercedes C300 4-Matic awd...There's a 2013-2014 Civic Si Coupe, this girl had a Hummer before her Benz, there are newer AND vintage BMWs, an old Triumph, etc. etc.

Wow! I'm the only modified xj in the lot(although a nice one picks someone up everyday) loads of stock xjs and there's a nicely built wj that's all show no go. lots of stock wranglers, and a mildly built cj5 but that's all I've seen so far this year. But I know that's not all considering the size of the student body.. about 2200 I believe

Yeah we have like 7 or 800 students I think...But we're still class A in sports...Except football, where we dropped to class B last year and won our first varsity game in over 5 years...Lol everyone was so happy you'd think we won a new school...Ours was built in '73 and has an "open concept" where basically some classrooms have hallways going through them and some are separated only by desks...You can wave to people 2 classes over, and when teachers feel creative, they move the office dividers (makeshift walls) to put the door on the other side of the room haha.

Jeep-wise, I locked myself out this morning. I left my keys in dad's truck yesterday and when I got up today, he'd left for work...And I was parked in front of mom's car, so it was trapped in the garage...Yeah not the best start to my day
