My '91 Briarwood
Hey everyone. Just thought I'd introduce myself and my XJ. So here we go.
My grandparents bought it new from a dealership in El Paso, TX. They drove it for sometime then replaced it with a Saturn. My dad flew to Florida and brought it home. He drove it for a while, then got a BMW. Then my mother used it at her cookie store for making deliveries, but it was eating her business alive with gas prices, so it sat for a week or two, and then I got my license.
This is how I got it.
Changed a few things, got some 235/75/R15s and upgraded the stereo.
Drove it like that for a long while, then moved to Dallas from El Paso for school. Some time passed and got some 2" lift spacers and 1 3/4" lift shackles.
Tried on my roommates wheels (31x10.5x15 and less backspacing).
Rubbed like crazy.
Then scored some 30x9.5x15 BFG AT KOs with rims for $280. Didn't use the rims.
Then I got an OEM swing away tire carrier for $20 at a junkyard.
And I got her washed today.
Next to my roommates XJ.
Need to replace the rear springs and use smaller shackles. Also have a CB radio and antenna waiting to be installed.
Other random pictures.

Love the Woody's! I restored and sold one years ago and now regret it.
This looks real clean, lets see some interior shots.
I love these espescially with the smaller lift, stock wheels and overall appearance. Just such a classy ride.

Yeah, saw that. A little detailing under the hood and interior and she's a clean rig.
These rigs are pretty rare, i'm sure you know that. Please take good care of her and enjoy it.
I'd like to find another one of these someday.

Yeah. I'm not a fan of mud. Even if I was, I don't have the resources at my apartment complex to wash all that crap off.

Nice looking Jeep..I`ve seen a few of the older wood paneled ones in the local jy's...LOL..This reminds me of an old joke I heard once..These two morons bought a new "woody" wagon and after they drove home the one goes and gets some pry bars and they proceeded to tear all the wood grain paneling off the sides of the wagon..After they finished they stood back and the one moron says to the other, "I don`t know, I think it looked better in the crate!"

Went wheeling on the weekend with a local Jeep club.
(don't mind the exhaust )
Did a lot more, just didn't hang with a group with some cameras.
