The Moss Green Eco-Friendly Machine AKA 98 cherokee build
I have had my 1998 Jeep Cherokee Classic for about 7 monthes. Figured it was time to start a build thread. Should warn you guys its gonna be a slow one because i'm pretty tight for time. I bought this jeep non-running for $750 only because I had a same year cherokee that my older brother flipped over and it had a new jasper 4.0 inline 6 with only 10,000 miles!!! So I took both jeeps to a shop and had the entire drivetrain swapped. Then I bought some new tires and some new shocks, had those installed at a shop. From now on out I will be doing the rest of the work on this jeep mainly because these xj's are so easy to work on, at least thats how it seems to me. List of things to do:
1. Wire and install Hella 500 driving Lights
2. Replace tie Rod ends
3. Sand and repaint both front and rear axles
4. Remove wiring for old 10 disk cd changer
5. Repair small rust hole in trunk (previous owner drilled the floor to mount cd changer and rust caught on to the screw, not really that bad but i'll get around to it)
6. Rebuild front driveshaft
7. In the future get a lift kit for it
I will post pics as soon as I figure out why it won't let me post them onto here, I know this is probably not the kind of build you guys are expecting but I really want to document it.
Thanks for looking
