I hope to tackle that giant hole sometime this weekend. Since the weather is supposed to be fairly nice.
We've had 14" of snow in the last two weeks so I've been working inside trying to get new trim and paint up in the babies room. Unrelated to jeeps but still a fun project, here's the after pictures.
And the dog isn't real happy about giving up his room...

Thanks guys.
It got too cold so I called it a night. Still working on patching the floors and making a new drivers side seat mount. I should be able to put the interior back in it soon.

I have to thank you for showing so many photos of your work. I am planning a trailer project out of my sons' old four door (it will be just like on of those tear drop trailers that have a bed the length of the trailer and a kitchen in the cargo area.) and seeing yours all apart gives me some insight to what it will take frame it out and tub the whole floor. I am waiting to start it 'cause I have several things pending and we all of a sudden getting wave after wave of snow (I'm on vacation except for snow removal.) To tired after working to do squat. Again thanks!

That sounds like a cool project! I'm glad the pictures are helpful. Looking back now, I wish I had done some things a little different but live and learn I guess.

The floor is completely patched and seat mount is rebuilt but I haven't found a good way to seal up the giant hole in the tunnel. However, I have been working on cleaning up the wiring harness that ran to the back. I've been wanting to simplify everything and get rid of as much wiring as possible for so long.
Here is a small amount that ran down the drivers side. The hatch harness was just unplugged and thrown away.

My goal is to take out any wiring for parts that have been removed. I'll take out the dash after it's running/driving to remove the rest.
What is left:
driver/passenger side window (switches moved to center console)
power seat
drivers seat belt (I don't want the stupid light on)
fuel pump
driver/passenger side tail light/turn signals
What has been removed:
Power door locks
power window lock
Power mirror
rear wiper motor
hatch speakers
hatch latch
3rd brake light
rear window defroster
rear cargo area light
sound bar speakers (will be rewired and installed later)

Nothing really picture worthy happening right now. Still working on patching the floors so I can put the interior back in it. I've pulled out 2 more piles of wiring the same size as before.
I did get the hole for the CPS covered. I wanted to make the piece removable just in case I need to change it. It's not pretty but it will work.
Also picked up some cheap steel wheels for the 42's when they go on. They'll get cleaned up and some DIY beadlocks welded on later.

Nothing special but progress is being made. I'll be finishing up with rear window area and getting the back wall seam sealed tonight. I also cleaned up the carpet over the weekend. The drivers side was matted and caked with mud, I wasn't sure if there was even any carpet left. Needless to say, I'm very excited with the end result even if it is stained. (Disregard the burnt hole from the PO)
