Highschool budget 1999 xj build
So I've been using tips and tricks from here for a while and decided I'd make a build thread of my own jeep maybe someone can use
So I started with this
And I quickly got rid of the chrome hubcaps and tinted the windows
So for a while I was happy with that and just did little mods here and there like green halos and green under door lights that come on when you open the door and full led interior
Then I decided to get slightly larger more aggressive tires with new rims with less backspacing and added a 2 inch shackle in the rear to compensate for saggy leafs
Then my birthday came around and my parents said they'd help me pay for a lift so I went with a 3 inch rough country lift (budget reasons)
So I rolled with this setup for a while because of lack of funds and being busy with school then I got stuck in a mud hole (sorry no pictures) and decided good thing I could get pulled from behind because I had no front recovery point yet only had a rear hitch so I said to myself I'll just get a front hitch for the added strength in the front and side pull abilities (can only see d ring because of bad picture and plastic wind dam is still on)
So again I stuck with this setup for a while because I didn't really have money to spend on new additions then I went to the tire shop with my dad when he was getting new tires on his car and just for the heck of it I said how much would a set of 31" bfg all terrains run me and the guy said I could get you a good deal on them so I said what the heck I'll take them
So those were the 31s the day I bought them.... Pulled out of the driveway and I hear a terrible noise.... The tires scrap on the bumper caps..... Here comes the sawzall
So no more scrubbing but I had this shake now ever since the new tires that wouldn't go away and I kept asking the shop to rebalance the tires and it would get slightly better each time then one day I was like I'm tired of this shake I'm going to the tire shop and they're fixing it so they balance the tires and one of the guys looked at the rims and said oh your problem is that all 4 rims are warped... Well that means.... 4 brand new aluminum rims.... Fixed the shake and took a chunk of change.... Now we're all caught up (don't yet have a photo of the rims on the jeep I'll get one up soon)

Oh and a couple mods I forgot to add In I put a china light bar on supposed to be 24" really like 21" but still bright as crap
And I made a home brew bike rack using fork mounts for bikes and just mounting them to my factory roof rack
And I completely upgraded the audio system new headunit new 6.5" speakers all around and an alpine type r 12 sub in a sealed box (can add pictures if someone wants to see)
Also I added a rear hitch along with wiring
And some info on the jeep... 1999 cherokee sport Chrysler 8.25 rear axle fairly highly optioned power mirrors locks windows and factory keyless entry (good enough for me) and when I was messing around with the speaker wires in the door replacing the speakers I saw a little black box near the drivers side kick panel and it turned out to be a remote start/keyless entry module the po installed... But when I bought the jeep no sign of the remote for it.... So I did some googling and found the correct remote and programmed it cool little bonus then I found sound deadening under the carpet all the way to the back seat.... Kinda strange for a stock jeep with stock radio.... Anyway 4x4 only 109000 miles when I bought it
I think I about summed it up... If they're are any questions I'll try and answer them... And I can add more pictures and description to anything if needed

A few more things I forgot (I'm sure there will be more) I upgraded the headlights with a putco harness. I put in a cb radio with a 3 foot firestik. Blue led lights in the gauge cluster and gear shifter. I put on a flow master super 44 with a turndown out the back (ripped off the pipe from the muffler back coming over the top of a hill climb) sure there's more I'm not remembering mostly small stuff though

So I know it's about to start getting cold, but the other day I was joking around with my mom and said I was going to take the doors off my jeep (thought she would instantly shut it down). Strange enough she was like I don't see why not.... So that means junkyard and hardware store this weekend to go doorless (don't worry I'll try to keep it clean) anybody have any suggestions before I dive in Saturday?

Did you keep the lift shackles on the rear, making it more of a 4.5 inch lift? Also, do you know if you have open differentials or if you have limited slip in the rear?
