Great build! I just bought that same CB at radio shack because I couldn't beat the price. That is a great trade off on the vents, the install looks great. I haven't figured out mine yet, I'm in a 95 so the vents are different. Hey maybe you could divert those vents lower down with some hose to get some heat back.

Oh yeah, axle question.lol. I would save up for the axles. d44 is an axle you can build up and keep. I've got the 8.25 with 4.10s and power trax locker, gets me around pretty good offroad. But I'm always looking for a d44 to build up, so I think that would be my advice. No less than the d44, especially given your jeep already looks great it would be a nice add.

If it wasn't raining I was supposed to go to uwharrie. I guess I got some luck out of it. Unions exploded and it was a little rigged into the pinion yoke with the straps so I guess now it's gonna get fully rebuilt and what not maybe. Does anyone know where the 8.25 u bolts for the u joints can be purchased

Iron Rock has the complete kit. Drilling out the stock yoke and using threaded u-bolts, places strap in incorrect position on caps.

Picked up new U Joints, one for the axle shaft that was bad and one for the one that blew up in the drive shaft. Picking up the U Joint Straps later today. They had them. They are way more promising then the regular straps with those weak 8mm bolts. The pinion yoke is a little messed up but if i can get the straps to fit right i'm gonna try my luck again.

The trick is tightening them just enough, caps are easy to distort and hinder u-joint movement. Just sayin

Went to a jeep show in Charlotte and were the only Cherokees and I really impressed a lot of people. People made their comments and then I got on the ramp and were a little shocked aha. Could've kept going. Shocks are still limiting straps. I put a lot of wranglers to shame including a guy in a new rubicon that almost rolled it.

Thanks dude^. And it's not completely ready for uwharrie (it will never be actually done jeeps are never done) but it's got some maintenance issues but it's still going this weekend. Rear breaks are shot ALL wheel bearings are fuked, and ball joints I think are ok but need replaced.

A lot got done. New brakes, axle seals, and a lot of cleaning up small stuff like the brake lines and stock control arms mounts cut off and stuff like that.
