Default Project Infinite Walrus ( DD 98ZJ)

Hey everyone,

First ever build so im pretty much bumble fudging my way along, learning as I go.
Recently picked up this 98 ZJ to use as a DD so im not planning anything to crazy here.
Its got the 6cyl 4.0.
So far ive replaced the AC system, tune up, and gave it some new shoes

I was going to wait on the cosmetic stuff until after I got the lift on it, but I figured I have the time and its just hanging out.

Im planning on putting the IRO 3.5" benchmark kit on it when I get the scratch.

How it looked when I got it home

Being in southern Texas.... This needed to happen

Headlights looked pretty cross eyed. Upon further inspection i discovered the mount was broken in about 4 different places. As we speak im JB welding it back together until i gather the feel like it to find a replacement

I already have them off, so why not.

How its sitting for now, wearing the new shoes with the rims I painted black. I pulled the calding off too. Tomorrow im planning on painting where it was with bedliner because I prefer the way it looks.

I apologize for any typos. Im making this post on my phone and I have fat thumbs

Started painting on the bedliner today.

I prepped with a good wash, masking the seperation where the calding used to be, sanded it with 100 grit to rough the paint followed by an acetone wash.

Im using Rustoleum Truck Bed Coating, only cost me 36 bucks for a gallon at the wally world up the street

Now I get to work

I decided to leave the bumper cover off. At least until I can get it lifted. To be honest, i kinda like how it looks without.

Ill post some pictures of it when I finish up.
