Default The GF's Comache gets new make-up

The girlfriend wanted/needed a pick up, and about a year ago we found her an MJ for $1500 and knowing how much she liked driving my Cherokee, she grabbed it. Whoa... 106K miles, but had NEVER had the oil changed, the engine was worn out, and the normal Comanche rust.

It started a love-hate relationship that lasted till just recently... right before Christmas, we bought another Cherokee with a low mileage engine, and lots of good parts that had just been tagged lightly in the front. $400 and we drove it into the garage. Once inside, it got stripped to a hull, the shell was chopped up with a sawz-all and hauled off in the back of the Comanche before we started on it.

An engine swap, sheet metal donated from the Cherokee, mostof the Cherokee interior, a guage swap, fresh paint, and she now loves her Comanche, no hate left in the equation at all. Of course I gotta show off... Just an old man outta a 2 car garage. Yea, it's a 20-20 paint job, but it's acceptable (20 ft @ 20 mph and it looks good lol )

Yea, you got it, tis 4wd. I put the Cherokee front springs under it temporarily, both the originals were broken, and it has the front sitting way too low. Just gotta grab a couple of MJ's and get em in there to correct the low front stance. Also you can see my interior guy got a little off on the seat color, but....

Anyone have a couple of original front springs I can get, preferably semi local so we don't have to pay the USPS extortion rates.

The colors... top is just some Chevy Butternut, 1967 vintage I had sitting here to paint my Vette. The bottom is called Malibu Sunset, I got it from Eastwood for $87/gal, Super cheap! Tis a little hard to shoot, it acts like a candy and will get clouds fast, but in the sunlight it will change from the shown orange to a glowing yellow, great pearl effect to it, especially for the price. Almost a direct match to some from a 2009 Dodge truck that they wanted over $800/gal for. I'm a miser, ya know how I went lol
